The Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB®) is ranked as one of the largest real estate boards in Canada. It represents approximately 5,500 brokers and agents, representing approximately 260 firms. Our members are licensed professionals governed by a high standard of professional service and a strict code of ethics. Since 1943 we've been helping our members serve the public by overseeing a strict code of ethics and standards of business practice.

One of the main functions of CREB® is the operation of the Multiple Listing Service (MLS®). Through MLS®, members and in turn their clients, have immediate access to the latest information on properties listed for sale. In excess of 30,000 residential properties per year, representing over 90% of the market, are listed on MLS®.

The Board maintains a broad range of services for its Members through the following divisions: Member Services, Systems, Commercial, Production & Distribution, Finance and Human Resources, Education and Membership Records, and Corporate Administration.

The Board's Multiple Listing Service (or MLS®) is a state-of-the-art computerized technology that allows Board Members to exchange information about properties for sale in Calgary and the surrounding areas. Through the MLS®, Members can provide the buying and selling public with the broadest possible market exposure and the most complete and up-to-date market information.

The Board also provides information to meet the needs of the home buying and selling public. These include the publishing of the weekly real estate newspaper, The Calgary Real Estate News (CREN®). Distributed without cost to thousands of readers in and around Calgary, CREN® has served as one of the most effective tools for marketing homes and properties in and around Calgary since 1983.
