An Exciting Keynote Address

What does a sustainable, vibrant and eco-friendly world-class city look like?  What are the NEXT housing trends, technologies and urban planning initiatives that can make Calgary a greener and more innovative world-class city?  How can we embrace sustainability to create hope and grow our businesses?  Join Chris Turner as he takes us on a journey around the world to see what global cities and communities are doing to save the planet.  He documented his findings in The Geography of Hope: A Tour of the World We Need which the Globe & Mail chose as one of the best 100 books of the year.  As a fellow Calgarian, Turner will shed light on what we can do as well as what we are already doing to improve sustainability and quality of life here at home.  From the villages of southern India, where microcredit finance has remade the social fabric, to Canada's largest wind farm, Turner points to the bright light at the end of a very dark tunnel.
